This planned golf community straddles the Denton and Tarrant county line and covers about four square miles, incorporated in 1985. It grew up around Trophy Club Country Club's Hogan and Whitworth courses, named for Ben Hogan and Kathy Whitworth, which still shape most of the street grid. Homes closest to the club sit in the older Country Club Corridor; larger, newer construction has gone up on the north side in The Highlands. The whole town shares ZIP code 76262 with parts of neighboring Westlake and Roanoke.
About 13,700 people live here, per the 2020 census. Byron Nelson High School anchors the Northwest ISD side of town on Bobcat Boulevard, with Medlin Middle School and the town's elementary campuses nearby. The land at the northwestern tip of Lake Grapevine was known as Marshall Creek Park when the town took it over in 2002; it now holds 877 acres as Trophy Club Park, with a boat dock and fishing access, while Harmony Park, Independence Park and Freedom Dog Park sit closer to the center of town, between them covering a community pool, trails and sports fields.
State Highway 114 is the road almost everyone here uses to leave town, picked up from Trophy Club Drive or Indian Creek Drive depending on which neighborhood you're in, with Highway 377 as the other way out for destinations south. Heading east past Westlake puts you at the Kimball Avenue exit in about 10 to 15 minutes, a short enough difference that it barely matters which side of town you start from: a round at the Country Club or an afternoon by the lake lands at close to the same drive time. I live closer to Trophy Club Park than the Country Club. Is the drive different?
Only by a few minutes. From the Lake Grapevine side of town you still pick up SH-114 heading east, the same route as the rest of town, just a slightly longer run on local streets to reach the highway first.
Can I fit a treatment in around a tee time at Trophy Club Country Club?
